About QTS

How we got here

Founder/CEO Quinn Tyminski spent 10 years working with nonprofits as an occupational therapist and six years in academia teaching mental health occupational therapy, recognizing the challenges that highly skilled practitioners, like OTs working in nonprofits faced. In trying to find solutions to these challenges, Quinn and many of the founding members of dared to imagine a new model for skilled service providers in nonprofit agencies.

In our wildest dreams, nonprofit agencies would no longer need to find funding to support the salary of a licensed professional, like an OT or a LCSW, but rather a single agency would exist to contract skilled, licensed, professionals within each individual nonprofit's financial capacity. In addition, we sought to address the other needs of nonprofits such as skilled training for non-clinical staff so that licensed professional could operate most efficiently and increase client outcomes.

Finally, Quinn and QTS recognized the gap in nonprofits of someone who is trained in research and data analysis to assist in demonstrating the benefit of skilled services. Thus, QTS also desired to use our abilities as trained researchers to bring data and outcome tracking metrics to each agency. In dreaming about the benefit that such a business could bring to practitioners, we also realized the utopia we could create for skilled practitioners. QTS strives to be a premiere training ground for mental health OTs, where we provide peer-support and mentorship to reduce the effects of burnout, train future generations of practitioners, and create a community of like-minded, passionate service providers.
