Three Components of Our Model

Approval

Exceptionally Trained Occupational Therapists

QTS is the only community-based, mental health focused, occupational therapy contract agency in the St. Louis area. All of our providers are trained by one of the leading experts in mental health occupational therapy and the only occupational therapist in the state of Missouri who is Board Certified in Mental Health by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Our providers are autonomous, efficient, and fully supported by QTS, limiting the drain on each agency's resources.

Education and Traning for Non-Clinical Staff

QTS recognizes that skilled providers (like occupational therapists) can function most effectively when other staff are trained to address non-skilled client needs. All agency staff must be trained in topics such as active listening, trauma-informed care, and mental health management, etc. Thus, we include educational training sessions in each package to be delivered to all agency staff in an active and engaging learning format.

Outcome Tracking and Analysis

QTS aims to assist agencies with improved outcome tracking and data analysis using high-level research metrics. As trained researchers, QTS includes tracking and assessment of occupational therapy outcomes in each of our packages. QTS Founder/CEO, Quinn Tyminski uses her PhD research training to develop appropriate metrics and provide detailed reports on client and agency outcomes related to occupational therapy services that agencies may use to attract future funding.

Testimonials About QTS

Hear What Others are Saying About QTS and Occupational Therapy

When my client first arrived, he was very friendly and personable towards staff, but was very withdrawn from everything else. My client had several barriers to overcome. He was in a deep depression and had zero income. He could not find motivation to begin working on his employment and/or his housing barriers. He would regularly miss appointments with his program case manager and his employment specialist. I was forced to place my client on probation with the hopes of light a fire to motivate him to begin working on his goals.

One day, he made a comment to me about not enjoying social settings. That is when OT came to mind, and he was willing to give it a try. This was a game changer for him. Once my client started OT, he started meeting with his case manager and his employment specialist. He had a much better outlook on his life. He seemed a lot more willing to try new things. He started seeing a mental health therapist, which before he would refuse to go stating he didn't want to bring up the past. Amazingly, I was able to get him referred to a housing program. Lastly, he was able to get a positive determination on his VA benefits. Today, this client has obtained his own apartment, has a sustainable income, and is living his best life.

We were lucky enough to connect a few of our families to OT services. The progress these families have shown since enrolling has been tremendous- they are able to better regulate their emotions, they have a more thorough understanding of what they are experiencing and what they need to be successful, they are kinder to themselves and their family members, they are more engaged, and have increased their overall participation in programming and moving forward in their lives.

One of our moms recently stated that she feels safer and calmer in her own home and with her children than she has in years. OT has provided support in a new way that really connects with our clients and empowers them to figure out what works for their needs.

Occupational therapy has helped me learn how to manage daily life with the many hats I wear. I have become more confident in my capabilities as an individual. OT has been a game changer in my mental and physical health and I feel like I get better with each session. As the saying goes "it takes a village" and OT has been just that for me.
